| This attempts to differentiate between net art and art on the net. The former, of which this page belongs, uses the intrinsic properties of "the net" in the artwork itself. The latter merely displays, usually computer generated, art that happens to be accesible on "the net", but would still Xist without "the net", and therefore should not be classified as net art.
